The company was founded by Chandradath Maharaj. Maharaj, being an ardent vegetarian from birth, with a passion for creating meal ideas, was inspired to provide a wider variety of vegetarian options for persons following this lifestyle, as well as provide a healthy alternative to other widely available processed foods.
Vistro, a 100% vegetarian restaurant initially operated in 2 locations, however Maharaj saw the opportunity to commercialize and retail his top selling products- beginning with Black Bean Burger and Lentil & Sweet Potato Burger.
Every product prepared by Souly Vegetarian is created in an ethical and compassionate manner, in a 100% vegetarian facility, with the aim of feeding not just the body but the soul, spirit and mind. Souly Vegetarian embodies vegetarianism and humanity in every facet of the business, with a percentage of each and every sale being donated to charity
